Quiet in regards to no noise from outside or other residents. The fan or something by door in ceiling was a bit disturbing

Quiet Suburb near Amsterdam Airport
Hoofddorp represents one of those typical Dutch engineering marvels. Created after the draining of a lake and surrounding marshlands, it is today a mix of the traditional Dutch and ultimate modernity. Hoofddorp is located next to Schiphol International Airport and less than 30 minutes by train to Amsterdam city centre.
Founded in the mid-19th century after the draining of the Haarlemmer Lake, the town still maintains old typical houses, an old fort, and the 1856 windmill called ‘De Eersteling’, or ‘The First’. But the town is mostly known today as a tranquil suburb of Amsterdam, as well as an important hub where several companies have built their modern headquarters.
From Hoofddorp Railway Station you can reach the main hall of Schiphol International in less than 10 minutes by train. Links to Leiden, Utrecht and The Hague are also available, as well as numerous bus lines.
Hotels in Hoofddorp can be found in the city and near the railway station, but most of them are actually in the premises of Amsterdam Airport. Booking.com offers a variety of deals in and around the town.

Hoofddorp appears to be where a lot of the main hotels for Schiphol Airport are situated. Arriving there late at night, and coming only because I needed to stay somewhere after flight cancellations, I didn't have a chance to assess the place much, except that it's full of hotels and very busy (traffic noises right through the night). But it's convenient for the airport, although I wouldn't want to drive the route myself. If you're stuck at Schiphol (as I was), look for a Hoofddorp hotel with a shuttle service on offer, book it, then go out through the main airport entrance, walk through the buses and look for stand A9-13. That's where the shuttles come to, and most of them post their (frequent) pick-up times on the bus shelter.

The travellers need to decide whether to stay away from the main city as it is quite costly to travel to Amsterdam city centre. There was no facility available to book tickets for a week at the Railway Station. One has to buy a return ticket every day at the kiosk to travel to the city.

Friedly people ready to help.
Friedly people ready to help. Shuttle to and from hotel worked well for us but had trouble finding it when we got to the airport. We phoned the hotel for the location of the shuttle but got the wrong directions but finally figured it out after we phoned a second time and talked to someone different.

Very disappointed with my stay.
Very disappointed with my stay. The room was dirty and many supplies were broken. The staff at the front desk was rather rude and didn’t do any effort to solve our questions. It was a very expensive stay compared to other hotels in Amsterdam.

Brilliantly location for the airport.
Brilliantly location for the airport. Unless you have to, don't waste money on a taxi. The train from Amsterdam Schipol airport is quick and easy. Likewise, central Amsterdam is very easy from the hotel too by train. The hotel is very clean, the breakfast is well stocked, varied and very tasty indeed. The room I had was big and comfortable and the bathroom was great too. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Quality/Price = 10/10; comfy and beautiful place.
I just stayed for one night because it was a flight lay-over but place has everything you need if you're staying longer than me. 2 bust stops (10 mins) away from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, and if you have a plane to catch it is something you would really appreciate.
The whole place is pristine and a lot of storytelling details in every part of the hotel that you will enjoy when you find out.
WiFi was a bit slow at night and ok by the morning. Definitely not a deal breaker.
We were forced to stay in Amsterdam, thanks to a flight cancellation. Therefore, it was a last minute reservation at Hampton by Hilton Amsterdam Schiphol. We were very glad that we chose the hotel mainly because the staff were responsive, friendly and considerate. Thank you guys! The breakfast was good. The train station was walking distance so easy to commute to Schiphol or the city centre. We had to extend our stay by two nights and that was not a problem either.
This was a stopover due to flight being canceled out of Amsterdam airport unfortunately the hotel could not cope with the rush of customers it was about to queue of 25 people when we arrived and it took over an hour and a half to book in and we had to be up at 5:30 in the morning to leave they were very difficult in trying to arrange a taxi stroke shuffle for us back to the airport. All in a very poor experience when we were already stressed.
The hotel is located at Hoofddorp landscape in ten minutes walk from the Hoofddorp railway station where you get quickly every fifteen or half an hour to Schiphol airport. The travellers could purchase the train tickets at Schiphol airport on the railway service counter before trip to Hoofddorp. The Holland style breakfast was delicious with coffee machine at the hotel and you may eat food and drink coffee already at six o'clock in morning.
Room was spacious and super clean. Beds were comfortable. Air conditioning was perfect. Black out curtains. Had a really good sleep. Hotel staffs were super friendly and helpful. Hotel also provide free shuttle buses to/from Schiphol. I stayed here for a night for a concert in Johan Cruijff. Easy to commute using the hotel shuttle+train via Schiphol. Highly recommended!
The room was spacious and comfortable, shower and bathroom were a decent size. plenty of television options if you're an international traveller.
The rooms were cleaned three times in a week which is far more than other hotels ive stayed at.
20 minutes from Amsterdam, 15 minutes from Haarlem.
train station right next door if you dont have a car.
The rooms were very comfortable. Great Value. We stayed for two days and used the free shuttle to the airport/train station. From the airport, we took the train to the Central Station in Amsterdam and did our sightseeing. I wish the shuttle was a little bigger than a mini van. Sometimes we had to wait for the second van.
Perfectly located to the Airport. We had to catch an early flight. The shuttle was just about 10 minutes. The shuttle ran on schedule. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. We spent the afternoon exploring Amsterdam and it was easy to take the shuttle to the airport and the train from there. Very convenient.
The breakfast was great and from early morning 0530 till 1100 available. The hotel is really close to the airport so with the shuttle you can easily go back to the airport and take the train to Amsterdam. The room is spacious and the showers are excellent.
This was one of the hotels where we stayed for a few days at. This is a good hotel for the price and location [we rented a car] as your home base for checking out places like Haarlem, The Hague, Alkmaar, Da Rijp, and Schiphol Airport.
Stayed in many hotels in this chain so just as expected. Comfortable rooms and breakfast is included. This hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the station so convenient to either get to the airport or into the centre of Amsterdam.
Nice and quiet despite location to the Airport. Regular trains and buses short distance from Hotel. Hotel is clean and service great. To get this standard of room in Amsterdam Central would cost £150 - 200 a night so great value.
The hotel was very close to the train station (one station from the airport and 30 minutues from Amsterdam City Center), so location wise, it was excellent! I really enjoyed the breakfast with a wide variety of food.
We enjoyed the style of the hotel and found the room comfortable. Was easy enough to get into central Amsterdam by using the bus stop 10 mins from the hotel to the airport and getting the train from there.
Great comfortable and clean hotel in perfect location.
You can combine visiting Amsterdam from the next train station by train and as an exit point near main roads to visit the rest of Holland by car.
- 5 mins by walk to Hoofddorp train station (+5 mins to Schiphol airport; +25mins to Amsterdam central)
- clean and comfortable room
- breakfast (would be appreciated with more plant-based options)
conveniently located close to the airport and free shuttle, ok priced compare to other hotels in Amsterdam, we had a few meals at the restaurant and they were good and reasonably priced.
The hotel is 7 mins drive from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, and 20 mins walk from Hoofdoorp Train Station. Excellent breakfast, great WiFi and front staff are nice and helpful
Location is very convenient for taking the bus to Schiphol airport or station, hotel is clean and uniquely decorated, staff is nice, easy check in and out
