We booked the cheapest room, without balcony. When we arrived, we could not believe our eyes: it was LARGE, with a huge bed, and also a couch, lot of space in the room, large toilet, and an area for our cloths... and carpet around the bed.
coffee and tea machine in the room, free water, nice furniture, flat tv, high speed wireless internet, soft bad and so on. They changed our towels every day (OAU).
The breakfast is clearly that of a 4 star hotel, not just for 3 stars :) We have eaten at 5 star hotels that did not offer such a variety at breakfast!
Every day, there were 6 types of hot foods available; the cold ones were over 20 types... many vegetarian options were available, row vegan people also could find food, gluten-free food was also there, lactose-free and so on... I enjoyed the pineapple juice (they also had orange and apple and waters) and the cappuccino :) So, anyway, a delicious and abundant breakfast.
The staff at the reception were especially friendly. They give us details about the city and many more... i loved that they spoke our language! OAU.
I think there is some sort of floor heating, since the room was always hot :) The heating system might not have enough power during summer. The bathroom was especially hot, too hot i may say... and the ventilation in the bathroom could be improved :)
The hotel is located just 4 minutes walking distance from the Metro station. It was easy to carry the check-in luggage.
Regarding the price... of cours it is expensive, it is located in the center and they offer so many :)
When we return to Brusseles, we will try to check-in at The Scott again...

Brussels is well-known as the headquarters of many European institutions and is often called the capital of Europe. However, Belgian waffles, beer and chocolate are just a few of the city’s best-known delicacies that can rival its political reputation.
French and Dutch are city’s two official languages so all streets and landmarks have two different names: don’t be surprised when you look for Grand Place and end up on Grote Markt!
Don’t miss the famous bronze statue aptly named Manneken Pis or the futuristic Atomium, a truly unique architectural creation. Wandering through side streets to discover small bookshops, romantic cafés and ethnic restaurants reveals Brussel's charm.
Brussels is a real melting pot of Europe, filled with great museums and art from Memling, Bosch or Rubens, historic breweries and great concert halls. Shopping addicts can visit the world’s first shopping mall, the Saint Hubert Gallery, opened here in 1847.
If you’re arriving at Brussels Airport or South Charleroi Airport, all major attractions are just a short train or bus ride away. Whether you’re looking for a design hotel, a comfortable apartment or a friendly B&B, Booking.com has something perfect for your Brussels trip.
My stay was 3 days. It is OK for a weeked breakoff but not enough to visit all attractions. My suggested stay would be one week of course in my situation knowing how and why to get to the spots that worth visiting. All of them worth. Thank you Brussel for my stay.

Food options are really good.
Food options are really good. Don't miss the Waffles, Fries & Belgian Beers. Average experience with site seeing as whole city is dug put with lots of construction work. Roads were not clean and garbage everywhere.

I was pleasantly surprised by how dirty Brussels is. I would avoid long walks outside the center during the dark hours of the day.
Nevertheless, the center of Brussels itself was nice and interesting. The metro was very accessible, convenient and cheap.

Such a varied city.
Such a varied city. Architecture, attractions, shopping, food, entertainment. So much to do and I never feel like I have enough time, unfortunately I also never have enough money. Brussels is expensive for the traveller/tourist unless you know your way around and know where to go for what you want.
This is a lovely place, perfectly comfortable and completely unpretentious. Nothing fancy but the ethos of the Institute is not about that anyway. Simple rooms over a garden of trees out the window. It's quiet and restful, and if you are happy to walk it isn't far from Brussels Centraal and so the museums, Grand Place, etc. (If not, there is a bus stop around the corner and Madou metro station up the street). It was a third cheaper than the best of the cheaper hotels I could find for the same dates. I would stay there again.
The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The room was big and very clean, which I appreciate in any hotel. The location is good too, close to the EU offices (with museums and exhibits) and the main bus line which takes you straight into the city center - perfect for a tourist. And the prices was very good compared to other Brussels hotels. The room had a nice smart TV for watching YouTube and a good Wi-Fi connection. Came with a water heater and tea as well. The beds were crazy comfy and the heating was good too.
The room was very spacious and very clean. the bed was very comfortable. The shower was excellent with a great water pressure. One of the best I have seen in a hotel! I would recommend this hotel, conveniently located close to the De Brouckere metro station and the Grand Place. Touristy location, less of a business location but everything is easy to access in Brussels, so not a problem. Despite being located in a noisy area of Brussels, the room was very silent (no problem sleeping at night or focusing on work)
The hotel was in the center of Brussels and this made our travel in Brussels very easy, with restaurants and shops very close to the hotel. Only 5 minutes away was the Brussels Central train station and very close to the hotel you could find a taxi. We had a triple room, with enough space and comfortable beds. The hotel also had luggage storage which helped us a lot to leave our luggage before we checked in. We would come back to Ibis Hotel if we come again to Brussels.
Situated on a quiet street close to the main tourist attractions of the Grand Place and all the nearby shops and restaurants. Our room was lovely, we only stayed in Brussels for 3 nights, but we would stay at the Ibis Hotel again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone. The ladies at the reception are very kind and helpful. It’s my 2nd time in this hotel and I’ll certainly be back in other opportunities. Highly recommended!
Location is fantastic!!! Right in the city center and 7 minutes from Brussels Nord station.
Hotel is SO beautiful inside, with floral themes on the floors and amazing signature scent they use throughout the hotel.
Bed was very comfortable and all amenities were funcitonal and good.
Staff are wonderful and very helpful.
I am actually going back after Christmas with my family this time, already booked again.
The hotel is located 10-15min walk to the city center, to the Brussels Midi Station, also there are many stores around. The room and the bathroom were big and clean. The bed was comfortable, as were the pillows. The staff is great and really helpful. The breakfast was delicious!! There isn't AC but there is an electric fan that really did the job.
We are really pleased with our stay at Hotel Van Belle
the room on the ground floor with the view on the garden and the swimming pool was amazing! the room was comfy and cozy, decorated with style and we felt like we were really in a "secret garden".
Breakfast was delicious.
Location is perfect, right in the middle of the city center to discover brussels by foot. The hotel was a bit hard to find but that's why it's called a secret garden i guess ;-)
The hotel was in the perfect location, a 3 minute walk from the main city centre. It is a cute little boutique hotel, with clean rooms, friendly staff and the comfiest beds I have ever slept on. Rooms were cosy and warm. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel 😊 Would definitely return to this hotel in future if and when I do come back to Brussels.
The hotel has a fantastic location. It is so close to the Grand Place and many of the activities in Brussels. We did not take breakfast at the hotel and just used nearby cafes. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. We liked the lobby area where we could meet as a family. Also the elevators ran very efficiently to all the floors.
Excellent ubication, central in Bruselas. Hotel The Moon is located two blocks from the central train station and one from the Grand Place, half a block from the Tin Tin shop and around the best chocolate shops in Brussels. I stayed in a large room with a double bed, very comfortable and clean, the room has heating and internet free.
Pleasant, modern boutique budget style hotel close to Brussels-Midi station, so good for Eurostar and other onward destinations. Breakfast room and lounge nice.
Brasserie St Nicolas next door good for evening meal. 20 mins to Grand Place and Palais de Justice areas. Limonier metro stop just around the corner
The hotel is close to Gare du Midi, 15-20 minutes walk to the city center.
The room was clean and tidy, friendly staff.
The train station is 2 minutes away from the hotel; the Gare du Midi area is not the cleanest in Brussels, but if you need a place close to the train station, it's a great option.
Location is excellent, quiet but an easy walk to the city center. Right beside a lovely square with fountains. The room was spacious, clean, and well appointed. The owner is kind and helpful, and his two small dogs are very well-mannered. This hotel was easily the best value on our trip.
The hotel is amazing, so beautiful , the suite was perfect , bed was comfortable, the staff is really nice , the restaurant is really good, the location is perfect, really in the center of Brussels, 10 min walk for Brussels grand place 2 min form a commercial center LOVED it
Super close to the airport with a free shuttle service, and we were able to bike into the city center (only 20min). Staff was very helpful on transportation options and refunded my taxi from the airport to the hotel. Staff was able to accommodate us in English and Dutch.
Large and smart rooms, central location, brand new hotel. It was once the Sheraton Brussels. Now fully renovated and still some sections are being developed. It seems it will be one of the best hotels in Brussels once it's fully operational.
The hotel was in the perfect location! A block from the train station and very close to Grand Place. The staff was absolutely amazing and the room was very big and comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here if traveling to Brussels.
The hotel was few minutes away from Brussels nord and the Grand place. It was luxurious and yhe staff were very helpful and attentive to our needs. Breakfast was superb. It felt we were in a 5 star hotel.
