The room was nice with an amazing view and a private balcony. Breakfast included was also exceptional. Facilities like gym and tabletennis were appreciated. The area is nice for walking around and hiking. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The hostel is above a friendly little pub what we could even call a ruin bar, or at least it has the same vibes with many books and random items everywhere and I love places like that. The room itself was fine, we had a well-equipped kitchen available so you can even cook if you wanted but there are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.

It was a self catering place, and the kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need, and more, as well as there being a kitchenette in the apartment itself.

With the basilica looming above it, there's a real sense of history about this town. Very filmic atmosphere. Lovely river frontage and great cycleways and walkways. The town square has its own wishing well fountain a la Trevi.
it's close by train to Budpest and definitely worth a weekend or more stay

Lots of colourful pansies everywhere, a very clean and well kept town with plenty of cafes and bars. Wonderful views over the Danube from the castle at the top of the hill. Well worth a visit as it is less than 2 hours from Budapest on the train.

Esztergom is a charming little town, with pretty streets and a wonderful cathedral to visit. It's easy walking distance everywhere. We ate in the evening in a great restaurant not far from the river called Mediterraneo, which we would thoroughly recommend. There was also a cracking little venue called Sportalsó which had live music on.

You don't need to stay in Esztergom.
You don't need to stay in Esztergom. Just visit the Basilica and Castle and go back. In winter, even on Saturday almost all stores and cafes were closed. We couldn't do anything in cold weather.

The best for me is the Primatial Basilica of the Blessed Virgin Mary Assumed Into Heaven and St Adalbert.
Is easy to go for others cities, they have good connections.
The people don't speak almost nothing of English.
We booked a suite at Grand Hotel Esztergom during the end of our Hungarian vacation, and I regret we didn't start out here. It was by far the best hotel of our entire Hungarian tour (and we tried plenty of good hotels), with the biggest suite, most comfortable beds, best restaurant (we picked the half board option which was well worth it). The location could not have been better, a few hundred meters from the city center. The staff was more than professional and friendly. I only wished we had time to stay longer than we did.
This was our second say in the boutique hotel and this time we got the king room. It is even more beautiful than the queen and that’s saying a lot. The property is renovated to the highest standard and we just didn’t want to leave. It is very centrally located, bus stop is 2 minutes, thermal baths 5 minutes, basilica 15 minutes walk. The breakfast place is a comfortable 3 minutes walk and they give you a very generous alacarte breakfast.
Parking very ok, personal was smiling and very friendly, elevator, rooms, restaurand very clean, modern and designed with style. Breakfast and coffee were absolutely great. Rooms very nice, heating system very ok, beds very confortabile. Hotel very close to a lot of restaurants, pubs and the nice church.
Pannonia Apartment is a charming. very unique apartment. There are 3 apartments in a unique round house in a good location in Esztergom. We were on bikes and there is a good, secure area for bike storage. Communication with the host was very good and questions were answered quickly. Highly recommend.
Very nice big room, clean and new. We enjoyed the kids entertainment playroom on -1 floor. There is aquapark just across the street with warm water and kids pool with slide. For big kids there is also toboggan. Food was delicious. We really liked this hotel and we will definitely come back soon.
The rooms were very clean & modern. The bathrooms too- brilliant big shower from a high quality brand. Smart TVs were brilliant, lights were stylish & good. Hotel is in a great location & feels secure.
Room 2 was very small but we coped.
Room 6 was bigger.
The staff were very helpful. There was some confusion because there are two Hotel Adelberts in Esztergom, but Evelyn went above and beyond to help us find the correct one. Location was great. Breakfast was very good.
The hotel has a nice small garden. Breakfast is tasty, nothing special, though. The location is okay, a bit far from the city centre, but it is close to other landmarks like castle on the hill. Parking is good.
Spacious rooms. Wellness/swimming area extensive but one has to consider that the hotel doesnot have own facilities but offers a direct, covered, access to the public acqua park. Incuded in the price of room.
We stay here quite a lot when we travel to Hungary and have never been let down. Staff nice, rooms clean and location is brilliant. Will also stay here when we go back to Hungary
Very, very friendly staff! Efficient and perfect in their handling and communication of the rent.
Perfect place in the center of Esztergom for to persons travelling together.

The owner was very friendly and flexible. I loved the interior design, especially the pictures of Esztergom. Everything was high quality, not "hostel-like".
