Booked as next to train station but neighbourhood has nothing else. Map shows next to bus station also but it's not. Bed reasonable. Water view if you could see through the very dirty windows.

My absolute favourite chain! The room was gorgeous and with a great view of the port (and the snow). Breakfast was delicious and with a great variety of food. I love the free coffee from the reception area and the little convenience store. The location allowed me to walk anywhere in town and it's a few steps from the bus that goes to the airport. The restaurant on the 17th floor is really worth your money and the staff was so kind! Scandic truly never disappoints.

Bodo was a great place with loads to do.
Bodo was a great place with loads to do. Unfortunately we couldn’t spend enough time but whatever little we spent- we explored the town in the night especially with the full daylight. In the morning we managed to complete the Keiservarden hike as well. Would have loved to spend more time and do the Salten area. Hopefully next time

We were in Bodo for just two nights and didn't wish to rush around, so we enjoyed exploring the waterfront and harbour area, watching the boats and taking in some of the restaurants and bars there. We arrived by train and left by plane - it was just great to be able to walk to the airport, which is close to the centre of the town yet we weren't disturbed by any noise from it during our stay.

Bodø is a charming, very walkable city where lots has been done to make streets accessible for pedestrians and cyclists. The city center (~ from the inner harbor to around Bankgata) is small, with a nice mix of new and traditional architecture and building styles. The streets have trees and wide sidewalks. The main shopping street, Storgata, is very nice and has a wide variety of shops that culminate in the Glashuset interior shopping area with the Koch Shopping Center attached.
I can recommend Nyholmen fort as a nice picnic spot with great view of the city - it's easy to reach it by bicycle. Also recommend the Jektefartsmuseum, which is about 4 km away from the city center.
On my next visit, I would stay a day or so longer and maybe get a rental car one or two days, to be able to go to Kjerringøy. But would also rent a bike again, as well, since getting around Bodø on bike is super easy.

The seashore is packed with huge hotels and other building plus boats thus have to go out of the city to enjoy the senery.
I believe most of the visitors use Bodo as transfer point to Lofoten.
City is clean and has all the necessary services available. Airport just a few minutes from the center.

Such a wonderful place, we loved the area and the lack of commercialism. We enjoyed exploring the town and the aircraft museum. We hired a car and visited Mjelle Beach up the coast and the maelstrom which I would highly recommend.

Small, friendly city. Lots of places to eat and drink.
Small, friendly city. Lots of places to eat and drink. Great natural attractions not too far away; like Saltstraumenbrua, with the fastest running water and whirlpools. Also, the Norwegian Avaition Musem in the noprth of the city is well worth a vist if you have an interest in aircraft and military history.
The hotel is excellent in every way - the ambience of the lobby/bar-reception/breskfast area is very pleasing and warm, the rooms are small but not cramped so they are very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and provided for quite an extended time in the morning. The hotel offers a free laundry facility for the customers, as well as a free gym. The location is superb and if you score a sea-view corner room you win on all fronts. The staff is present at all times and very helpful.
Great little place to rest my head!
I came in from Lofoten Islands late at night, so the self check-in was very convenient and easy to navigate. This was only about 10 minutes walk from the ferry port, another plus coming from a long ferry ride. The price was excellent and very affordable for Norway! Beds were very comfortable for a dorm, and I roomed with some really lovely girls and saw the Northern Lights that night! Will definitely use this as a stop over point next time on Bodø.
Excellent hotel, exceeded our expectations.
Room was very clean and comfortable. Location is very central, with several restaurants nearby.
Breakfast set up and quality was exceptional.
Staff was very friendly and tried their best to accommodate our needs.
There is a bowling alley in the basement, convenient for a rainy evening. And a roof top bar, for a sunny one :-)
It was our first stay in the hotel, but we were positively surprised.
Wonderful time in Scandic Havet! It's close to the main streets in Bodø, it's close to the airport, the reception is very well decorated, the room for the breakfast is very spacious, I got an spacious, quiet & clean room, and with wonderful view!! I'm gonna come back to Northern Norway in 2024, and I can assure that I'll spend more days in Bodø and I wanna repeat my wonderful experience in Scandic Havet hotel!
Very friendly staff who prepared a to-go breakfast for us, as we had to check out very early the next morning. The hotel provides guests with waffles and soups in the evening for free in the small lounge area. Our room was fairly small, but comfortable and quiet. Nice location close to the commercial areas at the harbor in Bodo, and walkable to the airport in about 10-15 minutes.
Hotel Thon is a good option for a short stay in Bodo. It is the harbor area, walking distance from the main pedestrian street with restaurants, bars, etc. Room was decent size, and breakfast was very good. Overall a good experience, although we found price a little bit high for what the room has to offer.
Hotel was comfortable, with good location and comparable price to other accommodations in the area. Blackout curtains were the best we've had, very important during midnight sun times! The front desk staff provided cups of hot water upon request. Very new and fresh facilities.
It's like a standard hotel even if it's adjacent to a hospital. It was my first time to stay in such kind of facility and it's a nice experience. The room and bathroom were spacious , though the air conditioning wasn't cold enough during a hot Norway summer.
Incredibly friendly and helpful front desk guy. I travel constantly and I've not run into someone so professional, helpful, and good natured. The environment was cozy and personal, not like a large chain hotel. And the breakfast was amazing.
Location…walking distance to the airport and train station. Also very convenient for boat and ferry terminals, as well as local buses.
The hotel was modern and airy. Rooms had all the essentials, very clean and modern.
Amazing hotel with wonderful and helpful crew. I love the meals, rich breakfast, waffers with brunost at 5 pm and soup at the evening! The location is fantastic, it takes few minutes to go down the harbour of Bodø.
The hotel is located very close to the ferry port and a few minutes' walk from the bus stop towards the airport. Clean room. Possibility to buy coffee and tea at the reception.
The Hotel was clean and beautiful. The personal was always nice and helpful. I had the best sleep and the beds were sooo confortable!
The best part was the Breakfast!
