We would absolutely and without a doubt stay in this property again. It exceeded our expectation not only for the great location and views but also the amazing staff!! Every single one of them made our stay extra special. The room was epic with breath taking views! The chef and the food at the hotel's restaurant was unbelievable! Wonderful & spotless hotel where any guest is truly invited to relax. Gorgeous rooms with panoramic views to the ocean, well equipped from the whirlpool in the rooms, to the little biscuits and chocolats available, to the options to watch Netflix directly setup. The team running the hotel is beyond fantastic - special mention to Dean who has truly made our stay special with his impeccable service, positive attitude & attention to detail (we got our own private dinner on the balcony!). Highly recommended hotel.

Hermanus is a beautiful quiet city.
Hermanus is a beautiful quiet city. Close to many Shopping Malls and not even crowded.
Our host, Kosie, went out of his way to make our stay in Hermanus memorable. Even concerned about our safety when the storm wreaked havoc in other parts of the Western Cape. Kosie, along with the owner of the accommodation, advised us to stay an extra night, free of charge and to rather travel home when it was safe to do so.
Kosie and Owner, thank you so, so much for concerning yourself about your guests and put their safety ahead of monetary gain. Will definitely return to Hermanus, Voelklip for my next vacation.

Friendliness of everyone was awesome.
Friendliness of everyone was awesome. Everywhere you went you felt safe and welcome. Very easy to get around. Loved the hiking trails. A must-have is comfortable shoes and clothes for all weather types, because you walk a lot and the weather changes very fast.
we had a ocean view room and would highly recommend to go for this, as waking up to the sunrise overlooking the water and seeing the sunset from the bed is really special. don’t think I have ever been to a hotel with such undisturbed views of the ocean. the rooms are large and nicely equipped with a free mini bar (non alco), and over all service was top! breakfast was nicely prepared made to order. it’s located 5-10 min outside of hermanus, so you need to drive to restaurants, but it’s worth the effort.
That location is absolutely the best for Hermanus.
The staff were extremely helpful.
They laid on snacks in the bar during the rugby on Saturday evening, which was an excellent idea and we'll supported. Like many other hotel residents we shared a cheese, cold meat and biscuits platter and has enough to skip supper. There were also excellent generous well priced fish and chips, plus meat baskets available.
Good place with small garden in the front. Hermanus is a small town, so most of the restaurants or stores seem to be close by. The manager at the time of our stay suggested one of the hotels for dinner, and the recommendation was excellent. While we did not use the cooking facilities in the room, there were several of them and some of which we didn't find in our earlier stays.
The excellent position next to the cliff top walk. Short Walking distance to centre of Hermanus.
The restfulness of the pool area as no children are allowed.
The comfortable beds, chairs & shower
The access to the kitchen items with crockery, cutlery, microwaves, etc
We found the list of the local restaurants, coffee shops, etc with your comments very useful.
The rooms were enormous and very comfortable, the dining room was beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful especially Michaela and Gaynor. We enjoyed playing tennis on the court which has amazing views. It was such a relaxing and calm hotel to stay in. 10 minute drive into hermanus.
Everything was fantastic! We got incredible recommendations right away and made some braai in the backyard for dinner on the bbq’s available,
Small swimming pool but does the job for a refreshing dip.
We wished our plan was to stay longer in Hermanus at this amazing place!
we had a wedding and went to Hermanus for 4 days. Baleens hotel was very comfortable close to all amenities and close to the whale watching boat trip which was why we went. the manager was excellent and helpful. breakfast was excellent and a comfortable stay.
Everything! The hotel is beautiful, the staff are incredibly attentive and friendly. The room is very comfortable and we had a sea view which was spectacular. Bed was ridiculously comfortable with plenty of pillows, could not ask for a better stay.
The Privacy and Security of the room, the views of the Hermanus coastline and the quaint homey feel of a BNB with the luxury touches of a hotel coupled with those subtle intangible touches of gold from the staff.
The Marine is one of our favourite hotels
The staff are so lovely. Rooms are lovely. Food is lovely. There is nothing not to like about this hotel. Lovely location and views are stunning. Cannot wait to return.
The room was big and had sea view. The hotel is not far from the sea. There are a number of restaurants next to the hotel. The shops were close by. The breakfast was good. It had a variety items to choose from.
The unit is located in a secure estate about 10 minutes outside of Hermanus. It was very clean and comfortable. Fully equipped with all your home comforts . Free WiFi and full DSTV. Lovely sea views.
We always make Auberge Burgundy our home away from home in Hermanus and cannot fault it in any way. The staff are absolutely wonderful, the location is perfect and we love the look and feel of the hotel.
We felt so welcomed and our stay was truly memorable, our room was beautiful and the owners go above and beyond to make sure you experience just how amazing Hermanus is. Will definitely be coming back x
We absolutely love this hotel. This was our second time (we enjoyed it so much the first time we decided to book again). This is in our opinion the best hotel in Hermanus. You won't be disappointed.
