Everything, I used to work in high quality hospitality and its exactly the same treatment as on private yachts or Ritz hotel.. Excellence ,I was very impressed 👌 sorry saying that...but it was that particular lady who walked too loud on her hills and being too loud while speaking. Lady in purple uniform. Anyway great, la cream the la cream 🔝

Great hotel to stay in Las Palmas, very close to Playa de Las Canteras. Room was big, clean and had a nice view overlooking the sea with a nice and clean bathroom. Option of parking in a private parking garage for 9€ per day for hotel guests. The garage is a short 5 minute walk away from the hotel and it is very safe. Fast WiFi. Supermarket almost in front of the hotel, a 10 minute walk to the beach and restaurants. Overall a great hotel for a great price. The staff at the reception were super nice, especially the guy from Croatia (was always there to help and give advice).

The location is good, close to different shops and just a 15-20 min walk to Poema del Mar Aquarium. We got the room with balcony and sea view on the 7th floor and it had a fantastic view of the city and the harbor. The room had bathrobes and slippers, safety box, TV, and mini fridge as well. We got complimentary water bottles and biscuits. The best among them all was the huge bed! It was sooo comfortable and worth the room price! Everything is also accessible online- breakfast reservation, food menu, and other special requests. The reception is 24/7 and the buffet breakfast had a simple but good variety of dishes.

The Gran Canaria capital, Las Palmas offers everything that the Canaries stand for: year-round sun, fantastic beaches and great nightlife. However, the largest city of this volcanic island group is more than just a beach resort - its mix of traditional and modern makes it stand out from the crowd.
Colourful Colonial façades line Calle Triana, a top shopping street, while the out-of-town Las Arenas shopping complex is much more contemporary in design. The El Muelle shopping centre is near Parque Santa Catalina and the surrounding restaurants, bars and clubs are focal points of Las Palmas nightlife, together with the historic Vegueta district.
Vegueta is also home to Santa Ana cathedral, best viewed from the palm-lined square which houses the Canary Island Museum. Around the corner is the Casa Museo de Colón, where Columbus stayed en route to America. No doubt he sailed from huge Puerto de la Luz whose numerous vessels are guarded by a lighthouse and stone castle.
On the opposite side of the promontory is long Las Canteras beach, lined by a promenade providing great mountain views in both directions. The 5-star hotels by the beach are just some of Booking.com’s Las Palmas accommodation options, alongside cheap guest houses and apartments, all linked by coastal road to Gran Canaria Airport.

Las Palmas is a good place for a relaxing vacation.
Las Palmas is a good place for a relaxing vacation. Relaxing vibes, good weather, nice beaches. Transportation is ample, and it's easy to understand how to get around. That being said, the odd layout of Las Palmas can make deciding on a location a bit confusing, which leads me to my only grip: the old town is dead in the off season. If a quiet getaway is what you're after, by all means stay in the old town, but there seemed to be more excitement around Las Canteras.

The island will definitely appeal to alot of people from all...
The island will definitely appeal to alot of people from all walks - Interestingly the south caters for more touristic attractions and opportunities whilst the centre and north are more historic. The island is accessible via public transport from St. Telmo (bus station) - You'll need to work out the way the busses work (Blue for inter-town, Orange for inside towns) and download the GuaGua app (There's two of them!) - Google Maps helps alot in navigating whilst Apple-Maps is a little sparse on information.
Dont go the route to hire a car - Its not needed and buses are frequent and easily accommodating.
Restaurants are a pick'n'mix re success - Some are great (look for the locals seems a big deal)

Great to walk all over the city.
Great to walk all over the city. The old town and so many beautiful beaches where there are no tourists. They are all on one beach. Positive attitude from everyone I met. Nice to rent a bicycle and travel on excellent bicycle routes throughout the city. Lots of good restaurants. I was there for a month, it felt way too short.

What an island!
What an island! It has an amazing beach - Las Canteras - and amazing places to visit, eat and relax. It is best to rent a car, but you can also use the public buses, which work really well. The taxis are also affordable and reliable. People are friendly, but not overly invasive of your personal space.

Las Palmas is not a particularly pretty town/city; however...
Las Palmas is not a particularly pretty town/city; however the old town of Vegueta is only about 15 minutes on the bus and has both the historic old town with narrow streets, plus the modern shopping street with most of the highstreet shops, and plenty of restaurants and bars.
Las Palmas has many bars and restaurants, as well as the main shopping street Mesa y Lopez, with El Corte Ingles and many more highstreet shops.
There are a couple of indoor shopping centres - one near the Auditorium and one near the port. The Auditorium itself is an interesting building and worth a visit. It looked to have a good programme of concerts too.
There are lots of restaurants and bars on the Canteras promenade but there are also some good ones a block or so back. Lacan (plaza Faray) for pizzas is brilliant but you do have to book, especially at the weekend, and Toma Pan y Moja, which is a small bar on the Canteras promenade is very small and friendly and has some beautiful food and wine. The prawns and the Saharan Calamari are to die for! The bar Ginger further along the promenade serves the best mojitos and La Maravilla a on the next corner does a very good plate of mixed fried fish.

Absolutely recommendable! The view is amazing and the apartment was extremely clean. The furniture is new and the bed was very comfortable. It was the most comfortable bed which we had during our whole stay on Gran Canaria.
The location is right at the beach front with many restaurants and stores around. So there is everything you need.
The host welcomed us very friendly. In addition we got help with buying a 3-day parking card for the cark park which is located right behind the apartment building.
For the price it was a great place to stay, I think the bad comments here are from people who expect 5 star hotel experience for pennies. The place had everything a tired traveller might need and it was reasonably clean, very good location, easy to get to by public transport, lots of shops in the area, and beaches. The room was small, but as I was traveling alone, it didn't bother me, the main thing was that the bed was comfortable and I had a good sleep.
This is a magical place. It is a huge and very comfortable apartment in the middle of the historic section of Gran Canarias. Dora, the manager, is extra special. She made our stay exceptional. The terrace on the roof is stunning. The extras, such as fresh strawberries and an assortment of other delicious foods, were delicious. This is an elegant place. The restaurant downstairs is the best on the island. I really don't have words to describe this place!!
Probably the best value for money in Las Palmas. 2 minute walk from the bus station and a 3 minute walk to a great shopping area. The staff were wonderful. The lady who checked us in and out was both friendly and helpful. Great breakfast on the sixth floor with a wonderful view across the park beside the hotel and out across the ocean. I'll be back if I am in the area again and I'll certainly be recommending it to any friends travelling to Gran Canaria.
This is a nice hotel on the beach, rather old and worn out, optimistically rated as 5*. Staff is wonderful, beyond any complaints. Parking in the basement is a good feature. Free towel service is nice also. The bar in the lobby is a good place to chill out ... and Andrea is good at making cocktails. Breakfast is amazing compared to most hotels - always something new is offered and the variety is quite large.
Everything was top notch, from the staff, cleanness, furniture,... I rarely rate my stays, but this one really exceeded my expectations. Very calm atmosphere nurtured by the staff and general design of the property. Would stay again, and there are only a handful of stays that I would repeat across the years. If you really want a calm, happy home base to explore the Gran Canaria, this is the place for you.
A hidden gem of a hotel, this place exceeded all of our expectations. Perfect location in the centre of a lovely part of Las Palmas with loads of bars and restaurants within walking distance. The bed was really comfy and the room (and bathroom) was so spacious. Staff were also super friendly and accommodating – would recommend to anyone looking for a bolthole on holiday in Gran Canaria!
My experience with the hotel was absolutely amazing! The room was very spacious, very clean and gorgeous, not to mention the stunning view to the harbor. The location of the hotel is perfect, the beach is 5 minutes away and the bus station 2 minutes away. The staff was amazing and very helpful!
My experience was 10/10 and I would choose the same hotel for my next trip to Las Palmas!
Overall, the hotel is very pleasant and beautiful. The staff is very helpful, friendly and professional. Breakfast is good and adequate. The location is perfect for those who want to stay in the historic area of Las Palmas. Despite being in the heart of the historic centre, the rooms are quiet and you don't hear any noise from the surrounding streets.
Central location for beach or into town and within easy walking distance to main bus station for airport or trips throughout gran canaria if you've not got a hired car.
The urban beach apartments is in a quiet street we never heard any noise from traffic etc.
Would highly recommend these apartments everything was perfect for a week break in the sun.
We had a wonderful stay. The location was close to the boardwalk and the beach, with many shops and restaurants to choose from. Since we visited Las Palmas in mid-February, the carnival season added to the festive atmosphere. The staff were accommodated to our various request and made our stay extra comfortable. We had an enjoyable time indeed!
The location could not have been more perfect. Close to local restaurants, groceries, taxi stand, the coast / beaches, and just a general vibe that was so easy to plug into, I felt like a local in less than a day. If you want to visit Las Palmas and live as if it was your full-time home, this apartment is a perfect choice.
It's really cheap to stay at this hotel and the location is fantastic. If you want to visit gran canaria on a budget and don't want to stay in the south where people go to lounge on sun beds it's a great option. It's also across the street from a fantastic Mexican place.
Modern and fresh apartments, exceptionally clean with nice bathroom. Washing machine and dryer on the 2nd floor. On the top you can relax on a sunny roof terrace with great views of Las Palmas and the Sea. Staff is very friendly, helpful and reliable
Welcoming staff, great value for the money, guests are nice, the location is good ( the bus station is right in front of the building). Overall, an exceptional experience and I will certainly choose Albergue for my following trip in Gran Canaria.
We loved the location of this property on the beautiful and historic Plaza Santa Ana within steps of the top three tourist attractions in Las Palmas, the room, cleanliness, view, decor, staff and rooftop lounge were all top notch!
Lovely characterful hotel in the middle of the historic centre of Las Palmas. Close to shops in Trianna, great pizza place at the end of the street! Two bus stations nearby, giving you access to the whole island
