Room was stylish and comfortable, large by Netherland standards. The bed was firm with nice sheets and a superior shower. Staff was lovely. We enjoyed going into the bar for a drink.

The free WiFi was a highlight, very reliable and fast enough to support remote working.

While no elevator, the staff carried luggage both upstairs on our arrival, and downstairs on our departure. Warm, friendly staff. Enkhuizen is a fabulous small town right on the IJsselmeer and this is an excellent hotel right in the city center - close to and well within walking distance to all the beautiful sights. Above that the hotel is exceptionally clean and feels like it was renovated quite thoroughly recently. This leads to very modern rooms and a nice atmosphere - only surpassed by the friendly staff.

The Hotel Spaander is a place to fall in love with. The artpieces skattered on the walls of the old hotel tell the history of this place but also the history of Volendam. This place is a Gem. Not really in the city center and behind outdoor activity places so you didn't expect much but the hotel was great. New and relatively modern and right on the beach. The room was fine, the breakfast had a super selection. And I I felt for the first time on our trip that the price was right. - I can also recommend the restaurant right across the way. - The food was really tasty.
